How did the idea came up?
I was searching for hours on the internet how to make this zouk sound. “Is there any plugin who make this?“ . “Are the “pro’s“ use a particular synth? What synth, so I can buy it.“
I’ve search for zoukbeat tutorials, but it wasn’t enough. There were no answers. So by my producing journey,
I earned a lot of sounds and grab informations from many people, videos, tutorials, and have come up with a finally, “same to same“ exact sound that the pro use.
After requests from friends and acquaintances, instead of sharing banks, VST’s, all complicated stuffs. I came up with the solution of building a plugin that meets all the needs they've faced.
About the family business
We realized (at Yann Deroi Rogol) that our friends and acquaintances weren’t the only ones facing this problem (since I, Yann from Yann Deroi Rogol, as a composer, had struggled with this issue for a long time, to the point where I created my own sound libraries over the years and was finally able to reproduce those same sounds).
So we decided, with a strong determination, to do everything we could to help them. We certainly didn’t do it for the money, since the goal was to meet a HUGE need.
We designed the sounds, modified them, mixed them, researched, and fine-tuned them until we created this gem. We’re so grateful for this and hope it will help and bring relief to as many people as possible.
As for the price, it’s still affordable, it’s neither too expensive nor too cheap. It’s exactly right; it covers the hours of work and research we put into it, since we’re a family business. We’ve got to feed the family and the babies!
